FORMOZ Festival

The FORMOZ Festival is a traditional music event that promotes mostly underground bands. Since 1995, FORMOZ is carried out in Taiwan in the summer and became the main musical highlight of the season. This year the festival took place from July 25 until July 27 and included more than sixty bands.

For three days, the outdoor festival took over the Taipei Children's Recreation Center and became the mecca for music lovers. In addition to Taiwanese bands, bands from all over the world were invited to play, including artists from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. Although the bands have several different styles, they had something in common: they all came to shake FORMOZ.

The last day of FORMOZ Festival began in check, while threats of tornadoes were transmitted. Ambulances were on hand in case of accidents and the stage and Light Mountain were closed, but all present remained steady while lined up at the gates. The fans braved waves of light rain and howling winds with enthusiasm worthy of the true spirit of rock. When the gates were opened, fans rushed toward the stage Wind, where the major attractions of the night - LM.C and Plastic Tree - they are playing.

Because of changes in schedules, Japanese bands naan and I 'have been moved to the stage Wind.O naan, formed by SUNAGUCHI (guitar) and Kensuke (drums), opened the show an incredible way. The instrumental rock duo impressed the audience with its winding melodies and progressive rhythms, trumpet and SUNAGUCHI brought a climate of jazz to their sound. The set of forty minutes was relaxed and calmed the public, but that does not mean that they stood. The naan was warmly applauded the friendly audience.

Things got heated when you 'hit the stage. Despite also being an instrumental band, their style was definitely different. While most rock bands takes the audience headbanging, serious and deep bass and guitars explosive te 'cause the whole body moving. The heavy beat of the music was dragged, almost boring, but the attitude of the quartet kept the energy high above all as his set ended.
While the stage was being set for Plastic Tree, many people sat down to rest, but at the time the band came on stage everyone was standing. With arms raised, the first songs of Plastic Tree, and Irogoto Alone again, wonderful world, many were greeted with shouts of joy.

During the MCs, Ryutaro read a bit of a Chinese piece of paper, to the delight of fans. He also changed the lyrics for hate red, dip it and sang "ni hao" instead of "hello." Although it continues raining during his performance, the band did its best. Ryutaro, barefoot, jumped as much as you can under the circumstances, and bassist Tadashi was particularly energetic, always trying to make the fans scream louder.

For the latest songs, which included a favorite of the public, Ruisen kairo, Ryutaro picked up his guitar and joined the others. They ended with Andro Metamorphose, allowing the sweet refrain followed as they left their instruments. Both Tadashi and Akira played multiple guitar picks before leaving the stage.

Unfortunately, because of rain, the sound quality was a little bad, the speakers slightly distorted vocals often Perfect Ryutaro. But it hardly bothered the fans. For them, their night with Plastic Tree was a perfect moment.

After a wait of twenty minutes, No.9 announced the addition of LM.C. The group was greeted with shouts and Aiji and Maya had a moment to pose before going to OH MY JULIET.; During each song, maya was keen to play at least one bottle of water to the public, and in the middle of a song, a fan handed a gift on stage. Despite being singing, maya stretched to accept the gift with a smile.
During the MCs, Maya spoke Japanese, but most fans understand. With his usual way lovely and provocative, he joked with the audience, asked to fund people not to be afraid and come closer. However, Aiji, who only spoke two sentences during the show, spoke in Chinese. He said "xie xie" to the public, and fans said that his attempt was a success.

Even raining nonstop for the set of LM.C (which seemed appropriate when they played 88), enthusiasm was high and everyone partied till the end. Closed with LM.C ☆ ☆ Rock the LM.C, and after they finished performing, Maya came up with a cake Chupa Chups lollipops and the band began to distribute them. When the lollipops over, the band said goodbye to everyone and left the stage, leaving eager fans talking about the return of LM.C to Taiwan.

Freddy Lim, the organizer of the festival, said FORMOZ 2008 may be the last, as there are no immediate plans to continue it in the future. If this is the case, this year made history. Regardless of the threatening weather, the fans got together and saluted the fantastic festival last one, showing the passion of those who really like rock.

LM.C: This well for us, but the makeup artist who has continuously as retouching the make-up leaves.

REPORT

SetList
1. Ghost Heart
2. OH MY JULIET
3. Punky Heart
4. Rock the LM.C
5. 88
Encore
6. Boys & Girls

We wait in front of the stage for a long time. Miraculously, we reached the
the crowd and up to the front line. It is not very far ahead, maybe just around the third / fifth line. And then the two hosts finally arrived. One was a woman, Animax, speaks fluent Japanese and English. The other host is a guy from a radio station, speaks fluent Chinese.

The concert began with a group of Japanese drums Tenko. They were really impressive, and had even some very young children [8-13 years of age?]. Then, the hosts came back, repeated the names of sponsors, and then the models for the show were called out. Of course in beach wear. That, or underwear - I really have no idea. I did not care much anyway

And then it was time for us VK fans go crazy. The first band to be called was the SuG ![..]

[...] It seems that the K-pop groups have had more time on stage compared with those of J-Rock. SuG apresentrar only got three songs, but both F. Cuz Afterschool and sang four or five songs [I can not really remember]. And despite the fact that Maya's birthday was just one day before that [30/07/2010] He did not get any cake. Not even a "Happy Birthday" from the hosts.

Anyway, after they [groups of K-pop] was finally time for the LM.C! The fans could barely contain our enthusiasm. In addition, we had to wait for about 15 minutes or more before they leave. The pressure was so intense. First of all [out] a support group - one of the brackets with the flags. And then came the DENKI-MAN! It was very exciting! Then the rest of the support group came out [and I noticed that the keyboard is also cute and adorable]. After that, the place was full of excited screams as Maya and Aiji finally appeared!

Immediately, they started with the show, featuring Ghost Heart. Maya was very lovely with her dance moves and expressions, and Aiji was as impressive as usual!

Then came the presentations. But instead of Chinese, they performed in English! Maya's English was surprisingly good. I'll be honest - it was a bit difficult to hear because of his Japanese accent, but was very understandable! They talked about something, but due to my own excitement, I can not remember what Maya said. I'm sorry! I could only remember the part where Maya shouted to the crowd, "Hey, SINGAPORE?"

And then they were present OH MY JULIET. But before that, Maya shouted to the crowd, "WHERE'S MY JULIET!? WHERE'S MY JULIET!" by which we all respond back with our excited screams. And then he began to sing. In the middle of the song, he leaned over and shouted: "JULIEEEEETA! JULIEEEETA!" Which we all waved at him and shouted back lol. It was very lovely! Now that I think it would be interesting if I, or we all gritassemos back "ROMEOOOO!" for him.

In the chorus, everybody sang, shouted and Maya "KIKOENAI ZO!" [I can not hear you!]. And so we sang even louder. I think we can shake all the Universal Studio! : D Nobody cared about sore throats.

There was no pause after finishing OH MY JULIET. They just moved energetically to the next song, Punky Heart! Maya also has its own peculiarity, but simple movements, dancing with this song too. He was very active and adorable!

There was only a brief pause between Punky ♥ Heart and Rock the LM.C. That's when Maya said that both "Who are we?" or "LM.C!" or "Rock the LM.C!" [I can not remember which], and we started singing, "Rock rock the LM.C!" It was very exciting. You could feel the love poured out by the fans, knows ♪. And then the music began, and sang "Rock, Rock the LM.C!" along with Maya!

His rap, live, is as impressive as his rap music! Well, look, I thought it would not be so impressive, because the show is obviously very tiring, but turned out to be so wonderful. Or perhaps even more impressive, since we could see him live!

There was another brief conversation between Rock the LM.C and 88, but I can not remember clearly that as well. Maya finally told us he was going to sing at the end of 88 conversations and began to sing. His movements were peculiar. During the "kami Kuchibiru nagare yuku namida sleep," he cleared one of its eyes to match the lyrics.

It was finally time for them to go! : (But not before singing another song. We all shouted "Encore!" And they decided to give us one more time. "What do you want?" Maya asked us. There were all types of headlines coming, and I myself I could not decide between Maple Leaf and Boys & Girls. However, Maya finally asked one of the girls, putting his microphone to her, the girl replied, "Boys & Girls."

During the chorus the guitar Aiji DENKI-MAN stood beside him and pointed to the Aiji all the time! And we fans, absorbed in the exciting atmosphere, hit his head with Aiji.

And then after that was the grand finale, to which all artists were called on stage [together with the models]. It was basically just the hosts talking about something.
